UPDATE! The first Kids’ Saturday of Winter Weekends is now being held on a Sunday—January 22. Seattle’s downtown corridor is going to be busy on Saturday and we want to be sure that getting the family to and from the Olympic Sculpture Park is easy for everyone. So join us Sunday from 11 am to 2 pm. And remember, #SAMWinter events are free!
Rain or shine, light or dark, wet or windy, no matter the weather, Teresita Fernandez’s glass bridge, Seattle Cloud Cover, offers new ways to view the sights of the Sculpture Park and Seattle’s ever-changing waterfront. Explore how landscapes change with different light and weather patterns and learn the difference between weather and climate.
Blow bubbles with paint and create a layered landscape with artist Tariqa Waters.
There’s more than just rain falling from the sky this afternoon at the park. Grab a cardboard box from home and get creative turning it into a vehicle for an indoor “drive-in” movie.
Featured screening at 12:30 pm
